Macy's 8th Floor

A number of my highschool girlfriends (Lindsay, Kelly, Sheena, Carrie, Sarah) and I thought it would be fun to do a holiday outting to the Macy's 8th floor display- A Day in the Life of an Elf. I was a little nervous for myself- worried that my children would be difficult and perhaps naughty...but they actually did quite well, along with all the other kiddos.
Here are pics with Santa and then lunch after...
Top row: Henry, Elsa, Charlie, Drew
Bottom row: Quinn, Kellan, Kiefer (me...oops!)

Pizza's always a winner choice for lunch...from left to right: Quinn, Elsa, Henry, Kiefer, Kellan.

Christmas cards

Christmas card family picture...not sure when the boys will actually look AT the camera and smile...
First snow pics...

So, one of my favorite parts of Christmas is getting (and sending) Christmas cards. I love designing and picking the pictures that are on the Christmas card. I also love getting to see all of my friends kids that I don't see very often, and having new pictures of the ones I do get the pleasure of seeing more frequently. The holidays are a fun time with lots of things going on...unfortunately due to illness and snow we had to miss the annual Cousin's Christmas on Jeff's side of the family. We heard it was a lot of fun and were bummed to have missed it. We also had to miss (which was eventually canceled) Quinn McLeod's 1st Birthday Party- blasted snowmageddon! Some other fun things coming up are Macy's 8th Floor display with some of the Richfield girls and kids on 12/17, will either be a lot of fun, or a complete disaster! Haha, I'm sure it will be fun ;) We also will be celebrating Christmas with both sides, and making the trip to Baxter (Brainerd). Looking forward to lots of fun memories!

Halloween 2010

We had a fun Halloween weekend that started Friday night with Trail of Terror, Saturday evening was the annual (10th annual this year) Halloween party thrown by our good friends Dave and Andrew, and Sunday- of course was Halloween movies and trick or treating with Alissa, Max, and Chloe (and a bunch of other neighborhood kids!).

Jeff getting into the Halloween spirit at Trail of Terror....
Taking some fun pics in the photo booth at the Halloween party...Adrienne was Lumber Jill (with a cleaver- couldn't find a fake axe...) and Jeff was going to be an Amish man, which then turned into Charlie Chaplain, and ended up as Honest Abe. It was the facial hair that changed the looks! :)

All of my boys getting ready for trick or treating.....yes, Jeff dressed up again ;)
Treat buckets were much more fun as hats!
First Trick or Treat house with cousin Max and his friend. (Not sure what was wrong with the camera...)
Alissa holding Kiefer, Kellan up in the front with Max and Chloe.
Kellan walked most of the evening- carrying his blaket and candy bucket.
Kiefer on the other hand kicked back after a few houses and had the candy brought to him!
Nearing the end of trick or treating, Kellan digging for candy- although Kiefer seems to have more of the sweet tooth like his momma. :)
One last Halloween pic before heading home for bed.

Fall

Even though it's still warm out, we are enjoying the fall. Going for lots of walks...
Helping Dad rake leaves...

Kellan is turning out to be our "quirkier" one of the two. He is obsessed with shoes and usually always wants them on. This is his doing because it was close to bed time and I wasn't going to help him put his shoes on, so he decided to do it himself. (Oh, and he has a weird thing about holding at least one, if not two pant legs up- even does it in shorts...)
They both play really hard at daycare, and Kellan has fallen asleep more than once on the 5 minute ride home...(not sure what he did to get those beads! haha)
And last but not least, Arby's has their chocolate turnovers back...and it wasn't enough for me to just savor the tastey treat, I had to have a picture of it!

Random Pictures

Found some pictures as I was uploading the last 2 years of my life from the camera onto the computer. The lake pictures are from July 2010 at the cabin. Both boys love to be outside and play in the water, Kellan however seems to especially enjoy the water and even going under!

This picture I find funny cause his belly looks so big, but he really is just a little squirt!
Kellan finding a snail...
Kellan coming up from going under water.
Kiefer playing on the beach.
Kiefer in the water...
Me and Jamie (daycare provider/friend) at the St. Anthony street dance with some "super heros". Thanks Jeff for making us take a picture with them!
The boys hanging at the street dance.
Me and Jeff at my cousin Abby's wedding on 9/18/10.
Now that summers coming to an end...we are looking forward to taking the boys to an apple orchard or pumpkin patch, Halloween- still working on costume ideas for them (and us!), and the holiday's that are right around the corner!

Kellan and Kiefer

Hanging with Dad before bedtime...
Forehead bruise is from our attempt at day camping (visited Jeff's family camping- only stayed for 6 hours) and of course Kellan managed to trip on the pavement and hit his head. Like I say, if there's an accident to be had- he'll have it!
A little crusty- just getting over colds...
They are now insisting on doing things themselves- even yogurt!

I also finally got them in for their 18 month appointments (only a month and 1/2 behind...oops); and their stats are:
Kiefer: 23lbs. 1oz. and 32 inches
Kellan: 21lbs 3oz. and 31 inches
Only 4 more months and they won't "adjust" their age due to prematurity- they'll be compared against everyone else born in January of 2009. We still look at both charts for growth, and they are 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height compared to kids who were born when they should have been born. If you compare them to kids who were born in the same month as they were, they are 10th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. Really all it means is they are growing well and are taking on like their Dad...tall and lean.

Quick House update

With the doors now painted white (originally blue), I finally got our address up again- new and improved!

Kel and his beloved Rubee...

Kellan's before and after shots of his face full of cuts/lumps/bruises. He's our fearless child!
He just looks though in this picture...
Much better, and a fresh haircut as well!
